Welcome !

Troop 413 Scouting Family started on January 31, 2006 by a group of ten people with a vision of creating and equipping the next generation of Godly leaders for our community. It started with 6 boys and today, Troop 413 has roughly 70+ registered active members. Our Scouting Family is also made up of our younger brothers in Pack 413. With Troop 413 and Pack 413 your boys will have a place to experience scouts at any school age all in one place! We have a link on our website for Pack 413. This boy-led troop empowers boys to be leaders by allowing them to develop a troop program and then take responsibility for figuring out how to achieve their goals. They accomplish this by electing a senior patrol leader and then organizing into groups of patrols under the guidance of the scoutmaster and his team. The troop schedules one or two events or outings each month consisting of campouts, community service projects, and activities such as swimming, wall ball, plus much more. Our troop is also very active in BSA order of the Arrow. The troop meets almost every Tuesday from 7:00 PM to 8:30 at New Heights Church and holds at least 3 Courts of Honors during the year. You’re always welcome to visit with us any time!
God Bless, Scouter Jerry

Summer Camp 2014

Posted on May 27 2014 - 11:07am

Troop 413 Parents, Thank you for supporting your son’s scouting experience by sending him to summer camp! You can't take the "outing" out of Scouting! The outdoor program is one of the biggest features about Scouting that appeals to Scouts, and a week at summer camp is one of the top experiences. No one will ever forget the memories and experience from summer camp. The Indian Waters Council has another exciting summer awaiting Scouts at Camp Barstow this year. As you help prepare for your week at camp, be sure to review the 2014 Guide about Barstow’s facilities, programs, and policies located in the link below: please send mail to your scout, the address is located in the leader guide page 6. You will find a packing list and suggested items also. There is no family night at camp Barstow this year. Only the high adventure crew will have one. For more information refer to page 18 in the leaders guide.

You love camping,…You love riding your bike,… would like to have an adventure with your scout.

Posted on Apr 24 2014 - 8:22pm

Come explore the backcountry of the Newberry County with troop413 on this overnight adventure May16 to 17. This isn't roadside joyriding,… Trails are challenging. Helmets, bikes, and water bottles are required. We will camp along the trail so please plan ahead! Bring your own adrenaline! Whether you've never been on an overnight bicycle trip and you have no idea where to begin or you just can't imagine having the time or expertise to cross the entire state on two wheels, you can still jump into your first overnight bike trip without any worries at all and this experience will prepare the guys for our longer trip this summer or until you build up to the big one. We are doing the 100 MILE summer trip!
